The AIDS Fund Inc. announced a new name and logo for the agency. EVAN (Eastern Virginia AIDS Network) will be the new name for the AIDS Fund. A new logo was also unveiled featuring a celebratory red ribbon along with the words "EVAN, Eastern Virginia AIDS Network." The new logo was designed by Philip Odango with Brand Level in Norfolk. The AIDS Fund, Inc was formerly known as TACT (Tidewater AIDS Community Taskforce) and has been providing services and programs for 30 years to the HIV/AIDS community in Eastern Virginia. "The agency has gone through some restructuring so we can more effectively serve our clients and we wanted a new name and image to reflect these changes," commented Shelley Taylor-Donahue, executive director of EVAN. "A fresh start after 30 years of serving our community!" EVAN will continue to provide the critical services needed by those infected/affected with HIV/AIDS in Eastern Virginia. Housing, financial assistance, medical assistance, meal programs and group support services are just a few of the services provided by the agency. Over 1240 individuals receive services from EVAN (Eastern Virginia AIDS Network) throughout the year.
